Sun ISO 05 sandwich bodies are available for many mounting configurations and are offered in two styles. The style is determined by the method used to seal the fluid interfaces. A seal retainer plate is used on all ISO 05 sandwich bodies where it is functionally feasible to rotate the body in relation to the seal retainer plate, providing two different mounting positions. For those ISO 05 sandwich bodies where it is not functionally feasible to rotate, counterbores are included on the body sealing faces and no seal retainer plate is required.

Technical Features

• All Sun seal plates are manufactured to current industry standards regarding passages and mounting bolt locations.
• The ISO 05 sandwich body can only be rotated about a single axis. Depending on the rotation of the body in relation to the seal retainer plate, the “A” and “B” passages can be reversed but the “P” and “T” passages will remain unchanged.
• Seal retainer plates are included with and used on all ISO 05 sandwich bodies where rotation is functionally feasible.
